Mrs. Brewer's class celebrated Oktoberfest last week at Seneca High. Students learned many aspects of Germany including their culture and food. They invited Mr. Hans Schmidt, Seneca High School Spanish teacher and German native, to their class to discuss his home. I had the opportunity to spend time with Mrs. Brewer's class on Friday as they presented individual projects on the many different aspects of Germany. Students studied the types of cars made in Germany, common food eaten, and a popular dance (the Chicken). The students taught me how to do the Chicken dance! The students learned a lot about Germany, Oktoberfest, and had a lot of fun!
